Enclosure in Rathclogh

A circular cropmark (diam. c. 28m) identified as the fosse of an enclosure on aerial photograph (CUCAP AYK059, 9 July 1969; BGG019, 16 July 1971 and ASIAP (20) 17, 1995). On the latter aerial photograph the wide fosse appears to be interrupted in the E quadrant, suggesting an entrance there. There are several other enclosures in the vicinity, all except KK023-046001- c. 140m to the S, have been identified as cropmarks. KK023-046002- c. 20m to the S; KK023-046003- and KK023-046005- c. 70m and c. 220m to the SE respectively and KK023-046004- c. 190m to the SSE.
