Enclosure in Raheen (maryborough East By.)

Marked on the 1841 edition of the OS 6-inch map, a roughly oval-shaped enclosure (max. dim. c. 50m E-W). Cropmark visible on aerial photographs (CUCAP, ATA 25, AYN 25). No visible surface remains. Aerial photograph (GB91.EP.24) shows cropmark of a curvilinear enclosure defined by two concentric fosses; a third outer fosse extends on the north-eastern side (Dr. G. Barrett, 20 August 1991).
