The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Conical mound with small summit (H 2.7m; base diam. 15m) at centre of circular area (max. diam. c. 50m) enclosed by fosse with drystone facing on outer face only (distance from mound to fosse 12m). Marked 'Rabbit Warren' on 1839 'OS 6-inch' map.
