What is recorded here
On a N-facing slope on gently inclining hill, in lush meadow. Monument indicated as large irregular hexagonal enclosure on 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map and as large roughly circular enclosure on the latest ed. (diam. c. 70m N-S; c. 66m E-W). The enclosure has been levelled with only a slight scarp visible in the NE quadrant (H 0.4m), which continues to curve to the N for c. 15-20m. There is a shallow depression at the base of scarp, possibly indicating the presence of a fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.1m). There is no visible trace above ground of the S side of the enclosure.
