What is recorded here

This ruined stone enclosure is located in level, boggy pasture on the N side of a ridge which overlooks loughs Namona and Cloonaghlin. Not marked on the OS maps, the area enclosed measures 7.7m N-S x 9.2m E-W and the sod-covered enclosing wall survives only one course high. It is 1.9m wide and its external facing is formed of boulder-like slabs. Two sheepfolds interrupt the circuit of the enclosure at SW and NW. That at NW is U-shaped in outline and appears to overlie an earlier structure. The SW example appears to follow the outline of an earlier circular structure. The above description is derived from A.
