What is recorded here
This is the site of a low natural mound which from aerial photographs taken in 1973 (GSI N 555/4) look like an archaeological site but from the surface appears to be a natural feature of no archaeological importance.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
