What is recorded here

Marked as a circular enclosure on the 1841-42 OS map, only a tiny section of it appears on the 1914 map. Today this site has been completely levelled except for a tiny portion of an enclosing bank. It is arch shaped and curves for c 30m. It is 10m wide and up to 1m high. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 1029. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
