What is recorded here

In waterlogged pasture, on top of a low drumlin ridge. A D-shaped raised area (int. dims. 17.9m E-W) enclosed by a low earthen bank (Wth 2.2m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 1.1m) N-S and on the straight W side (L 26.5m N-S) by a field boundary. The entrance (Wth 1.4m) is at SE. The interior slopes down to E. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
