What is recorded here

Situated on a plateau at the W foothills of the Comeragh Mountains with a NE-SW stream valley c. 500m to the SE and the E-W Nier river valley c. 800m to the S. D-shaped, grass-covered area (ext. dim. 27m N-S; int. dim. 23m N-S) defined by a low earthen bank (at S: Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.7m) S-N. The bank has been modified creating a straight scarp at E. It is within field system (WA006-055004-). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
