Enclosure in Kilteely

In pasture 90m N of the summit of Kilteely Hill (OD 580 ft.) and within the 'Fair Green' annotated on 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Enclosure (LI033-067----) lies 65m to W, enclosure (LI033-066----) 30m to NE. Not depicted on historic OSi maps. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 89; AP 4/3612) as a roughly semi-circular shaped area defined by a fosse from SW-N-SE, truncated at S by a field boundary running E-W. Visible as a raised rectangular-shaped area (dims. 30m N-S; 50m E-W) defined by a fosse on OSi orthophotos taken between 2005-2012. Visible as a semi-circular shaped cropmark defined by fosse from SW-N NE on Google Earth orthoimage dated 20/09/2020.
