What is recorded here

In improved level pasture, very lush at time of inspection. Identified during field survey by Alison McQueen and Vera Rahilly (13 January 2009). There is a land drain (Wth 2m) c. 22m to the W and a farm road c. 24m to the W. A semi-circular area (dims. 25.75m N-S; 25m E-W) defined by a scarp (Wth 2.5m; H 0.65m) and fosse (basal Wth 1.5m; overall Wth 5.4m; D 0.25m) from ENE-S-WSW. The monument is transected by a field boundary running c. E-W through the N sector. The fosse appears to curve into the field boundary at ENE and WSW so it is likely that it continued into the next field. Only a slight semi-circular depression is visible on the N side of the field boundary. The interior is generally level and has a slight depression within the centre.
