In improved pasture, on a W-facing slope, just below the plateau area of high ground with good views of Slievenamon Mountain to S. An oval area (dims. 102m N-S; 80m E-W) defined by remains of levelled scarp (basal Wth 1.8m; H 0.2m) best preserved NE-S-SW, and a deep fosse (basal Wth 1.5m; overall Wth 5.65m; D 1.25m) re-cut as drain in the W quadrant and the remains of a backfilled fosse (basal Wth 1.3m; overall Wth 6.3m; D 0.35m) best preserved NE-S-SW, but also evident in the N quadrant. The bank is possibly incorporated into a field boundary (Wth at top 0.7m; overall Wth 4.2m; int. H 0.65m; ext. H 1.35m) in the W quadrant. The monument is incorporated into the field as pasture. A former quarry, which was backfilled c. 1970, adjoins to NE (OPW files R/22B/1289/9621, 1971 and 1972).
