What is recorded here

Killoghil holds two stone rings on a high mountain terrace, large enough for herds or hundreds of people, yet old enough to predate written memory. The eastern wall is a cliff face rather than built stone, as if the mountain itself completed the circle. Someone stood inside that ring during rain or festival, watching the western horizon darken while the eastern cliff held the sky at arm’s length.

On a terrace on the high NW slopes of Moneen Mountain. An irregular enclosure (diam. c. 58m N-S; c. 60m E-W) defined by low tumbled stone walls of possible prehistoric or medieval date. The E side is formed by the face of the higher terrace. A second enclosure (CL005-057----) is conjoined at W.
