What is recorded here

Killeen enclosure vanished before the twentieth century, leaving only a gate pier and a memory of circular walls. The 1912 map still drew the lost shape, proving the land once held a boundary large enough to enter through a deliberate gateway. Perhaps a Victorian owner built a folly inside the ancient ring, then removed both without regret. The remaining pier stands as a punctual reminder that enclosure can be destroyed and still point toward the shape it once forced upon the world.

Gate pier may belong to folly which was located in the centre of the destroyed enclosure.
