What is recorded here
Kill by Muskerry West holds a circular shadow beside its underground passage, visible only when sunlight strikes the land at the right angle. The shape may mark an ancient enclosure, though no wall remains for hands to touch. What is certain is the hole in the earth and the ghost of a circle floating above it.
On examination of the 2005 aerial photograph it was noted that a circular cropmark was visible in the general vicinity of the Man-made underground passage [CO071-159----]..... which may represent a possible enclosure/ringfort (pers. comm. Annette Quinn, Tobar Archaeological Services).
