What is recorded here

Kildromin enclosure circles the hillside pasture above Kilteely village, hiding in soil rather than stone. Aerial photography revealed its rough ring decades after people walked past it, suggesting older hands shaped the land before maps learned its name. The church and village sit nearby, but the enclosure belongs to a longer forgotten time when boundary and belief may have been drawn in earth itself.

In pasture 170m N of the summit of Kilteely Hill (OD 580 ft.) and immediately W of Kilteely village. Enclosure (LI033-123----) lies 50m to SW and church (LI033-008----) 170m to S. Not depicted on historic OSi maps. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 90; AP 4/3612) as a cropmark. Visible as a roughly circular-shaped cropmark on OSi orthophotos taken between 2005-12 and on Google Earth orthoimage dated 20/09/2020.
