What is recorded here

Kilcurly holds a circular enclosure twenty metres wide, resting in grassland one hundred and ten metres south-southeast of a ringfort. The boundary still emerges in modern aerial photographs, suggesting people shaped that land long before satellites existed. The distance separates the sites but does not weaken their connection. A household, shrine or defensive work may have occupied the circle while the ringfort watched from nearby. The grass hides more than it reveals, preserving a human arrangement that resistance and time failed to erase.
Situated in grassland 110m SSE of ringfort (LI012-130---). Outline of circular-shaped enclosure (approx. diam. 20m) visible on Google Earth photographs taken 16/03/2016 and clearly visible today on Digital Globe aerial photographs. See attached Google earth aerial photograph showing outline of enclosure. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien based on details provided by Dr. Rob O'Hara Date of upload: 17 February 2020
