Enclosure in Inchileigh

On E side of Claragh Mountain, on roughly level plateau-like area, broken by rock outcrop. Circular area (10m N-S; 10m E-W) enclosed by low earthen bank (int. H 0.9m; ext. H 0.8m). Entrance to ESE (Wth 2.5m). Bank partially overgrown with gorse bushes; grass and ferns cover interior. Clearly visible in aerial photo (CASAP) which also shows relict field systems (9433) in same area. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
