What is recorded here
Gubnacurrafore holds a missing fort on Hugh Keaney's land, large enough to circle but absent from modern sight. The enclosure may have swallowed itself into turf, memory or time. What is lost there is not small, only unseen.
Fuaghnan (1943) says there is a fort (diam. c. 24m) with a bank (H c. 1.5m) on Hugh Keaney's land at Gubnacurrafore, but it remains unlocated.
