What is recorded here
In a tilled field. Identified as a roughly circular bivallate enclosure on aerial photograph (CUCAP, BGG 80, 1971), also visible on OS Ortho imagery (viewed 31 January 2018). The cropmark shows an inner fosse (int. diam. c. 41m N-S; c. 38m E-W) and an external fosse (ext. diam. c. 56m N-S; c. 55m E-W). It is not visible at ground level. Though the monument had been levelled, the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map indicates where a field boundary, removed by the 1900 revision, ran N-S along the E edge of the monument and another ran E-W through the N sector.
