Aerial photograph (CUCAP AYL 46) shows faint cropmarks of circular enclosure (est max diam. c. 40m), described in 1955 as platform ringfort defined by earth and stone bank with entrance at W (Danaher 1955, no. 268). Situated in complex of sub-rectangular enclosures defined by fosses, probably fields (see field system No.***). Marked 'Gorteen mound' on the 1837 OS 6-inch map. Date of upload: 6 September 2016
