What is recorded here

Four of the five ancient forts Lewis named in 1837 have vanished from the demesne of Glin Castle, leaving only one known enclosure behind. They may have been buried under estate works, consumed by hedges, or never properly marked at all. The land keeps its own ledger, rewriting what humans believed they understood.

Lewis (1837, 73) mentions five 'ancient forts' within the demesne of Glin Castle. Only one of these is known (LI017-020----).
