Enclosure in Gardenfield — Report the wrong picture

Gardenfield holds a fifty-metre circular enclosure where western stone was quarried out, leaving two ringforts nearby and a degraded bank visible only through pasture grass. The land has given up much of its shape, yet the remaining scarp and fosse still mark a boundary drawn in earth long before modern fences.

In level pastureland. Marked on OS 6-inch maps as a circular enclosure (D c. 50m). All that survives is a degraded scarp, intervening fosse and outer bank from NW through N to E. A vegetation band defines the monument elsewhere. The W section of the interior has been quarried out. Two ringforts (GA029-078----, GA029-079----) lie 30m to SW and 80m to SSW respectively.
