Enclosure in Foulkscourt: Circular earthwork, 60 m across, east of St Kieran’s Church in Johnstown, Kilkenny. A field boundary cuts it northwest to southeast. The southern half fades where the crop changes. What lives inside the line is no longer written, but the shape still holds its own.
Immediately E of St Kieran’s RC church in Johnstown, in tillage. A circular enclosure (diam. c. 60m), defined by a cropmark which is visible on satellite imagery (Apple Maps), identified and reported by Jean-Charles Caillère. A field boundary runs NW-SE roughly through the centre of the enclosure. The enclosure is less visible in the field S of the field boundary where there is a different crop.
