Fortgrady House overlookes a circular earthwork where Scots Pine still marks the centre. The low bank rises seventy-five centimetres above pasture, enclosing a space wide enough for several people to walk around without leaving the circle. It appeared on maps before modern development reached that slope, suggesting the shape mattered enough to measure and preserve. Whether it marked a boundary, a gathering place or a forgotten ceremony, the land still holds the answer in its own quiet geometry.

In pasture, on S-facing slope, c. 1km NW of Fortgrady House. Depicted as hachured circular raised area (diam. c. 20m) on 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps. Circular slightly raised area (25m N-S; 23m E-W) enclosed by low earthen bank (ext. H 0.75m). Interior planted with Scots Pine.
