Enclosure in Esker (annagh Ed),lisgub East

On a gentle rise. Marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1931) as a large enclosure (D c. 80): a curving line of hachures delimited it form ENE through S to SW, while a curving field boundary, which also formed the td. and B. Boundary, appears from SW to N. The enclosure was levelled in the late 1970s: according to the landowner, it was enclosed by a bank and fosse. Apart from indistinct undulations in the field, no visible surface trace survives and farm buildings now occupy W and N sectors. A similar enclosure (GA060-065----) lay 325m to N.
