Dunmore’s circular platform stood thirty-two metres across on a gravel ridge above the Nore and Dinin valleys, offering unbroken views in every direction. Men took most of that ridge for gravel, leaving only a overgrown northern fragment behind their machines. The enclosure did not disappear into legend; it disappeared into roads, concrete and forgetfulness. What remains is a bruised edge of soil where a whole horizon once stood exposed.

A broad gravel ridge, running roughly E-W, on the E margins of the Nore and Dinin river valleys. There are excellent views in all directions. A roughly circular (diam. c. 32m) area on the top of the end of the ridge appears to have been modified to create a platform. Only a portion of the N sector survives and it is heavily overgrown.
