What is recorded here

In pasture, on a S-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Drombohilly River. The cropmark of a bank and external fosse of a square enclosure (dims. c. 15m x c. 15m) is visible on an aerial photograph (ACAP, V.178/39-38) taken in 1955. This enclosure is not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 30 May 2011
