Enclosure in Crossery

Situated on a gentle SW-facing slope. This is a D-shaped, grass-covered area (dims. 50m N-S; c. 25m NE-SW) defined by scarp (H 0.3m) N-SE and truncated by a NW-SE road bank at SW. It is regarded locally as the site of a ‘lios’. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
