What is recorded here

Monument is depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) on 1841 OS map, but by 1923 OS map had been truncated on its E and S sides by earthen filed boundaries. The boundary on the S side has now been removed and the enclosure has been levelled to a great extent though its enclosing element is still apparent S-W (int. H 0.1m; ext. H 1.2m over 5m). The area of the monument is now covered by rough grazing and is crossed by a recent farm trackway. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 23 August 2012
