What is recorded here
Marked on the 1841-42 OS map as a circular enclosure, this site does not appear on the later edition of 1915-16. Though no surface trace survives today, a very slight trace of a circular enclosure can be seen on the Geological Survey of Ireland's aerial photographs (1977).
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 1040. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
