What is recorded here
Enclosure in Cloghnadromin is a 23-metre circular scar in poorly drained Limerick pasture, still visible beside a ringfort, trackway and another enclosure. It is not a grand castle or a polished museum piece; it is a shallow dish of earth that has survived ploughing, rain and forgetting. The nearby dried river and old drainage channels suggest a wet, busy landscape where people shaped the ground repeatedly. To walk past it is to brush against a forgotten neighbourhood, still proud enough to show its outline on a clear day.
Located in poorly drained rough pasture, ringfort (LI014-032----) 150m to N, trackway (LI014-128----) 140m to S and enclosure (LI014-150----) 170m to NW. Outline of monument clearly visible on OSi aerial photographs. Remains consist of a circular-shaped area (diam. c. 23m) defined by a scarp with post-1700 drainage channels visible in field. Google Earth image taken 2017 shows cropmark with dried up river course to the S.
