In improved pasture 190m W of the townland boundary with Maidstown and 700m SW of castle (LI039-074----). Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as two conjoined circular enclosures. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised circular-shaped area (diam. c. 14m) defined by a scarp and outer fosse. Conjoined enclosure to N consists of a raised semi-circular-shaped area (diam. c. 15m) defined by a scarp and external field drain from SE-W-NW. Entrance gap at SW. Westropp (1916-17, 21) refers to ‘two conjoined and two very close’ forts in Clogher-East. Levelled monument visible as two conjoined circular-shaped cropmarks on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
