Clintstown holds one small rath near the Nore, yet no human hand has marked its exact place since O'Kelly named it. The land may still carry a hidden ridge, a forgotten boundary or a shallow basin waiting for rain to reveal its shape. What is missing is not importance but witness; the rath withholds its position because nobody has asked the soil to answer.

According to O'Kelly (1969, 37) there is, 'one small rath near the Nore' in Clintstown townland. There is no enclosure indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map or the subsequent 1947 revision.
