What is recorded here

Enclosure in Church Hill stands twenty-three by twenty-six metres south of Grange RC church, a green mound called the Moat in Cnoc A'Tempuill. It has watched the chapel, weather and forgotten foot traffic since before survey lines crossed it. A little to the south, another enclosure waits at a hundred and ten metres, as if the hill kept two rooms for its own remembering.

Indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map as a small enclosure and on the 1947 revision as a mound (dims. c. 23m N-S; c. 26m E-W). Described by Carrigan (1905, vol. 3, 391) as, 'A little to the south of the chapel [Grange RC church] is a green artificial mound known as the "Moat". It is in the townland of Church HIll, otherwise Cnoc A'Tempuill'. The size of this monument and Carrigan's description suggests this may be a barrow.
