Enclosure in Carrigane — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Depicted as a roughly circular enclosure (c. 39m N-S; 42m E-W) on the OS 6-inch map (1914) with a break in bank at NE (Wth c. 13m). This site is marked on the 1841-42 OS map as 'Kyle burial ground'. Today, this site has been much levelled, and all that remains is a roughly rectangular mound, measuring 20m N-S x 45m E-W. The external height of the bank measures a maximum of .6m. E of this site lies a ringfort (KE002-029----). The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle.
