What is recorded here
Situated on a small S-N spur on the E-facing side of the N-S Tara ridge. The cropmarks of three enclosures defined by fosse features, and a field system also defined by fosses or ditches can be seen on oblique aerial photographs (CUCAP: ATC 33-37) from the 1970s. The interpretation of the features is overcomplicated by Newman (1997, 206-07), but the cropmarks do not appear on any other images. This enclosure (diam. c. 18m) is defined by a fosse feature and is attached to the NE of enclosure (ME037-002----). There is an outer fosse visible SW-N-NE but this would be removed by a N-S field bank at E.
