Killeenavarra By. is a vanished Galway enclosure, not a distant myth, because its edge-set boulders once formed a small rectangular chamber beside a larger stone fort. It measures 7.9 by 5.4 metres, large enough for a person to move inside but small enough to feel like a room built for one purpose. The land has taken back the marking, yet the shape remains in the story: a place where stone was arranged to keep something in, or keep something else out.

This is one of two enclosures (see also GA103-016004-) recorded by McCaffrey (1952, 178-9, no. 119) that were associated with a rectangular 'Stone Fort' (GA103-016----). Annotated 'E', this enclosure (7.9m x 5.4m) was defined by walls composed of single lines of boulders set on edge. No visible surface trace survives.
