What is recorded here

No visible trace survives, but the lost walls once stood six metres long and three point six wide, built from boulders set on edge beside a rectangular stone fort in Ballymore. They may have guarded goats, children or secrets, yet time erased every marker. The earth keeps that small chamber hidden, waiting for someone to remember the shape of what disappeared.

This is one of two enclosures (see also GA103-016005-) recorded by McCaffrey (1952, 178-9, no. 119) that were associated with a rectangular 'Stone Fort' (GA103-016----). Annotated 'D', this enclosure (6m x 3.6m) was defined by walls composed of single lines of boulders set on edge. No visible surface trace survives.
