The enclosure is a circular stone-faced bank about one metre high surrounding a 4.50 m area at the east end of a court tomb. It sits on a low ridge in undulating pasture, now inside the garden of a modern house. de Valéra and Ó Nualláin recorded it in 1964 and thought it may have altered the court area later. There is no proof it is ancient, but it still draws the eye because it shapes the tomb like a boundary drawn around memory.

On a low ridge in an area of undulating pasture, located at a court tomb (MA039 098001 ), now incorporated into the garden of a modern house. de Valéra and Ó Nualláin (1964, 54, no. 59) recorded an enclosure at the E end of the court tomb gallery. They described it as a ‘circular stone-faced bank, about 1.00 m. high and 1.00 m. to 2.00 m. in thickness, which encloses an area roughly 4.50 m. in diameter.’ They interpreted it as probably representing a later alteration of the court area of the tomb (ibid. 55).
