Enclosure

What is recorded here

In improved, level pasture. An oval area (dims. 24m N-S; 27m E-W) defined by a bank (Wth 8m; int. H 0.12m; ext. H 0.15m) and outer fosse (Wth 7.85; D 0.13m) traceable from NNW-NNE and WSW-SSE. The bank is only traceable from NE-ENE, it has been reduced to scarp (Wth 1m; H 0.15m) from NNW-NE, and is visible as levelled scarp (Wth 4m; H 0.2m) from ENE-S-W. The NW perimeter has been truncated by a field boundary and land drain running NE-SW. A gentle NE-facing scarp runs WNW-ESE across the centre of the interior.
