What is recorded here

Situated on a gentle NW-facing slope. Two wide fosses, visible as cropmarks on aerial photograph (CUCAP, ASU 41), form the sides of a possible rectangular enclosure (dims. c. 45m NW-SE x 30m NE-SW). No trace of the other sides despite good conditions for preservation. Not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 December 2008
A local fairy fort (ringfort/rath); wider significance not recorded.
