What is recorded here
In level pasture, good views all around. Large, roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 75m N-S) inaccessible for most part due to dense vegetation cover around perimeter. Monument appears to be enclosed by substantial earthen bank (ext. Wth c. 9m; ext. H c. 1.7m at SE) visible on the exterior only at NE, SE and NW. Possible entrance at N. Interior covered in dense overgrowth; raised curvilinear feature defined by earthen bank (ext. Wth c. 3.5m; ext. H 0.65m) visible NNW-E-SSW. Possible annexe/second enclosure to SE, shown on current OS 6-inch map as circular area (diam. c. 20m) defined by scarp. Monument defined by public road to W and field fence radiates from NE.
