
What is recorded here
Situated on a SE-facing slope in upland pasture, with a stream to the S. An enclosure, sub-circular in plan (ext. diam.25.5m), truncated by a field boundary in the E. It has a raised interior, within which is a rectangular feature (L 8.6m; Wth 5.6m ) defined by a stone-built bank; bank (Wth 0.9m; H 0.4m). This is probably a house-site (Healy 1975, 1-19). The raised interior is defined by an inner flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.3m) and an uninterrupted external bank. (3.8m; H 0.4-0.5m). Identified on an aerial photography (pers comm Leo Swan).
