Enclosure in Arduslough

In rough pasture, in the NW corner of a field on a SE-facing slope overlooking Crookhaven. The remains of an enclosure (diam. c. 12m) consisting of a roughly triangular area defined by an arc of a scarp (H 0.7m) E-WSW and by linear stone field boundaries on its straight NW and SE sides. The scarp is revetted by stones of varying size at irregular intervals. Some of the stones lean outwards and two radially set stones at SE may indicate an entrance feature. Briars and gorse bushes cover the field boundaries and encroach on the interior, especially in the NW corner. No remains of the enclosure were visible at ground level outside the field boundaries.
