What is recorded here

The circular enclosure marked on the 1st edition of the OS map is shown as a circular mound on the 2nd edition. It survives as a slightly dished platform measuring 27.4m N-S and 22.8m E-W across its upper surface and a maximum of 1.2m in height. The edge of the mound is raised a maximum of .85m above the interior but is generally less and there is no clearly defined bank. There is no visible trace of the Man-made underground passage (KE035-048001-) marked on the 1st edition. The site lies near the foot of a N spur of Beenbo mountain, between the Glennahoo and Scorid rivers. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
