The D-shaped grass-covered area measures about 24 metres north-west to south-east and 22 metres north-east to south-west. A low scarp between 0.3 and 1 metre high defines its east, south and west edges.
Depicted as a circular embanked enclosure on the 1837 (ext. diam. c. 30m) ed. and as a D-shaped feature (dims c. 25m NE-SW; c. 25m NW-SE) slightly truncated by a NE-SW road at NW and a NW-SE field boundary at NE on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. it is situated on top of a low rise. This is a D-shaped grass-covered area (dim. c. 24m NW-SE; c. 22m NE-SW) defined by a low scarp (H 0.3m-1m) E-S-W in reclaimed pasture but the perimeter at N is not well-defined.
