Embanked enclosure

Marked as a rectangular embanked or moated enclosure (ext. dims c. 50m NW-SE; c. 40m NE-SW) only on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6 inch map, and situated on a slight S-facing slope. It is not visible at ground level in pasture but is visible as a square cropmark (dims. c. 38m NE-SW; 38m NW-SE) on aerial photograph (CUCAP, BDQ 85).
