What is recorded here

Towards the top of the S-facing slope of an E-W ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 47.6m E-W; 46.2m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 4.7-5.8m; int. H 0.4-0.8m; ext. H 1.9-2.4m), with a rounded fosse (Wth of top 8-8.4m; Wth of base 2.4-3.8m; D 0.55-0.8m) NE-SSE and SSW-NW. The entrance (Wth 2.5m) is at S, and the fosse has been removed by an WNW-ESE field wall and townland boundary with Manor NW-NE. Rath (RO028-151----) is c. 70m to the E and the bank of ceremonial enclosure (RO028-148002-) at SE is c. 100m to the NW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
