What is recorded here

Situated towards the bottom of a NE-facing slope of Lacken Hill and just above the col separating Lacken from a hill c. 700m to the N. This is a circular scrub-covered area (diam. 28m E-W) defined by a degraded earthen bank (at W: Wth 6m; int. H 1.4m; ext. H 0.4m) with an external fosse (at W: Wth of top 6m; D 0.3m) SE-W-N, and a scarp (at E: H 0.9m) elsewhere. There is an entrance (Wth c. 3m) at SE. Archaeological testing (08E0560) immediately to the E failed to produce any related material (Stafford 2011a). The abpve description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
